Life Updates...

Yeah so this week I am not sleeping because mid-terms have begun, I'm getting promotions again (the bad season is ending) and I'm doing two commercials for the Truth Campaign in Astoria, Queens.

Too sleepy to write anything else.

peace,

Major Life Update

I totally just got cast to be in a Truth Campaign commercial. All I know now is that I will probably be drinking milk and eating candy which I'm not sure what the point of that will be but I'm down for it.

I'm also going to be in this student film or maybe documentary I don't know, about honest emotions tonight. And then tomorrow I'll be an extra in a music video being filmed by some guys at NYU (and I totally don't remember what the band was).

Loudon Wainwright III - The Middle of the Night

Loudon Wainwright III - The Picture

Loudon Wainwright III - White Winos

Sorry for taking so long to upload all of these.

LeSportSac 35th Anniversary Party in SoHo

Apparently Teen Vogue leaves you on their invite list until you turn 22 so I've been able to take in some of the benefits of being a high school student in Manhattan while going to NYU. Anyway, I heard of a party with free food, celebrity appearances, and possibly Teen Vogue favors so I went on ahead and checked it out before I ran off to work at Town Hall last night.

The party was pretty cool, except for the fact that they didn't really seem to have any limits on how many people could RSVP. The first five minutes were kind of cool then the place became a crazy fire hazard were you couldn't move and the caterers couldn't move once they got to the top of the stairs. And granted I left a half hour into it, apparent host Sophia Bush wasn't there when it started, which you would think if you were a failing actress claiming to host a Teen Vogue party you would show up before it started.

On the bright side they had an adorable candy store theme going on where you could take LeSportSac labeled candy bags and scoop various hard candies and M&M's into them. Once again though, it was so crowded after I had been there for five minutes that it became a fight to get a piece of candy, and honestly is it really worth fighting through a crowd for a few pieces of taffy? Well, okay, maybe I did, but it was an alcohol free event that I waited almost 20 minutes outside for and there was nothing else to do there.

Loudon Wainwright III photos

The photos came out pretty well from this concert since so many people were sitting on the ground and it was easy to get a good view of the stage even if you weren't close up. It was a pretty cool concert too, real laid-back audience and a lot of fun folksy songs.

And yes, obviously the fact that Rufus Wainwright was there too made it that much more awesome.

Rufus Wainwright and Loudon Wainwright III sing together

Yeah, so not the best video in the world since my camera's video capabilities aren't that great, but at least it's not as far away from the stage as that one from Flogging Molly.

Me and Rufus Wainwright

I'm not even sure why I asked to get on the Loudon Wainwright III guest list to begin with since I'm not really a big fan of his, but anyway I did. But apparently Rufus Wainwright comes out to a lot of his New York shows and ended up performing on stage with his dad for one of the songs (video of that to come soon). Anyway, later when I was doing my post-show flyering Rufus Wainwright just walks out with friends and I joined the crowd of stalkers until he took a photo with me. It's a terrible photo of both of us but it's going on the blog anyway because it's a photo of me with Rufus Wainwright that amazing guy who sang Hallelujah which is one of my favorite songs ever.

Flogging Molly Video

I can't remember if this is one or two songs or what they were and I'm at a computer lab without headphones so I'll update this in a bit.

Just because I make other people do this....

Yeah, so this is me posing with fliers for UG...

Flogging Molly - On the Guest List

The show was awesome, although I should have gone earlier so I could have been on the floor which looked a lot more fun than what we were doing on the balcony. And Seven Deadly Sins live was completely amazing, honestly these guys are better live.

And so yeah, here's a bunch of photos from the concert.

Life Updates

Yeah, so basically three weeks ago I was cast for a production of The Laramie Project. If you don't know the play it's basically about how a small town in Wyoming dealt with a gay hate crime that ended up getting national attention. Anyway, at the moment I'm cast as Dr. Cantway and an e-mail writer, but not everything is cast yet so I guess it's possible that they could tag an extra minor role on me still. Right now it's totally consuming my Fridays with rehearsals but I'm still psyched to be in my first play at NYU.

I've also definitely decided to major in dramatic literature for those who haven't talked to me since I decided against journalism.

Better 88-Keys Photos

Much thanks to fellow extra Sarah Hernandez for taking these photos and sending them out to everyone.

88-Keys Music Video

Yeah, so Monday I was in a video for 88-Keys' new song "Friend Zone" which was pretty awesome. I have some shitty quality photos of his interview for Loud.com (oddly enough I had done a promotion with the interviewer last year) and one of the crew from the glass-walled room we were in when they didn't need us on set.

Accordion Player at the Comic Con

So yeah today I was promoting Live Nation at the comic con and there was this guy playing video game and super-hero cartoon themes on an accordion. Pretty sweet, pretty sweet.

Updates on Life

Last Friday I was accepted as part of the company for an NYU production of The Laramie Project. I won't know what role I'll have until Wednesday but I'll post when I find out.

Oh, and today I was in a music video for this Canadian ska band The Johnstones. I'm not too familiar with their music but the song they did for the video, "The Bank", was pretty good and the guys were cool.

The English Beat

Totally was on the guest list for the English Beat at Fillmore on Friday because my job is that cool. Oh and I don't know if this was Fillmore's thing or something the English Beat just does but they played Pink Panther cartoons while the band was setting up. It doesn't get better than that.

This is the sort of stuff I do for money

Yep, so someone only wanted to take a photo if they were in it with me on my camera. Because that makes so much sense. Anyway, this guy gets on my blog too.

I'm almost a celebrity I'm on the draft

Well, at least he was serious about being on the draft. This is Tim Bax from Cornell who told me to treasure the picture I took of him for a promotion I was doing last night.

Yeah this blog is starting to get almost as random as my life.

Bagpiper at Midnight at Union Square

Seriously, this seemed shocking even for Union Square. I mean, he was just setting up at midnight too, maybe he gets more tips if people are drunk after partying? Either way, I thought it was mad random and took a pic.
